A new certification body is set to start

25 founding members gathered on march 31st, 2017 in Frankfurt at the DE-CIX 25 to lay the foundations of a new certification body: AUDEG - Deutsche Auditoren eG i.G. (AUDEG - German auditors, incorporated as a cooperative). This organisation is a not-for-profit cooperative and adds value to its members as a professionally organised business platform.

25 founding members gathered on march 31st, 2017 in Frankfurt at the DE-CIX 25 to lay the foundations of a new certification body: AUDEG - Deutsche Auditoren eG i.G. (AUDEG - German auditors, incorporated as a cooperative).
This organisation is a not-for-profit cooperative and adds value to its members as a professionally organised business platform.

Developed during 2017 as an accredited certification body for management systems with an emphasis on information security and data protection, AUDEG will provide an online Competency Directory of all members, offering a public forum for their professionality. Additionally, AUDEG represents the interests of audiors in Germany vis-a-vis all stakeholders in the market. AUDEG is an unbiased entity and clearinghouse for its members and defines, by particpating in the relevant industry bodies structures, jointly agreed standards for certifications and audits.

During its founding meeting on march 31st, Boban Kršić (DENIC) and Torsten Allar (Allar Networks) were voted to the board of management; Dr. Johannes Loxen (SerNet), Michael Schmid (Burda) and Ingo Wolff (tacticx) were voted to the supervisory board.

"As a collective certification body, AUDEG will be in an excellent postion. Ensuring compliance with the legal framework for proprietors of critical infrastuctures (KRITIS) and the new EU data protection legislation are a great first area of activity for AUDEG. ", according to the new managing director Boban Kršić.

Member of the supervisory board Johannes Loxen adds: "AUDEG's businessplan, developed by the managing board with a strict view to provide value for its members, offers economic advantages and market transparency to suppliers and clients alike."

Up until June 30th 2017 auditors may join AUDEG for free as individual members or as a company.

AUDEG is based centrally in Frankfurt, a major hub in central Germany and is thus very accessible for members and clients. With its second office located in Berlin, AUDEG is perfectly placed on the axis Frankfurt-Berlin, close to all major stakeholders in politics, public life and business.
